Effective Date: May 25, 2026 Last Updated: May 25, 2026
Kintently LLC ("Kintently," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Kintently platform, including our website at kintently.com, our mobile applications for iOS and Android, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the Platform.
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Account Information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. You may also sign in through Apple, Google, or Facebook authentication services.
Assessment Data. When you complete an InPlace assessment, we collect your responses across 15 dimensions of daily living (such as mobility, cognition, nutrition, and personal hygiene) and 6 caregiver burnout indicators. This data is self-reported and observational. It is not clinical data, and the InPlace Score is not a medical assessment or diagnostic tool.
Care Circle Information. When you invite family members to your Care Circle, we collect the contact information you provide for those invitations. When invited members join, we collect their account information as described above.
Timeline and Notes. You may add notes, observations, and other content to your care timeline. We collect and store this content along with timestamps and authorship information.
Payment Information. When you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed by our third-party payment processor (currently Stripe). We do not store your full credit card number, bank account number, or other payment instrument details on our servers. We receive and store a transaction identifier, subscription status, and billing history from our payment processor.
Communications. When you contact us at hello@kintently.com or through the Platform, we collect the content of those communications.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Platform, we automatically collect:
- Device and browser information, including device type, operating system, browser type, and screen resolution.
- Usage data, including pages visited, features used, assessment frequency, and interaction patterns.
- IP address and approximate location (city/region level, not precise geolocation).
- App performance data, including crash reports and load times.
1.3 Information Generated by the Platform
InPlace Scores. The Platform calculates composite scores, dimension scores, score trends, and status band classifications (Strong, Good, Steady, Watch, Concern) based on your assessment responses and the caregiver burnout multiplier.
Automated Insights. The Platform uses automated processing, including machine learning technologies, to generate personalized care narratives, care recommendations, next-step suggestions, and emergency action guidance based on your assessment data and scores. These automated outputs are informational and are not medical advice, diagnoses, or clinical recommendations.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
Providing the Platform. Calculating InPlace Scores, generating status bands and trends, populating your care timeline, enabling Care Circle data sharing, and delivering personalized content and recommendations.
Automated Insights and Recommendations. Processing your assessment data through automated systems to generate care narratives, recommendations, next-step suggestions, and emergency action guidance. Your assessment data, scores, and contextual information (such as dimension names and band labels) are processed by these systems to produce personalized outputs.
Account Management. Managing your account, processing subscriptions, sending transactional communications (such as invitation links, account confirmations, and billing receipts).
Platform Improvement. Analyzing aggregated, de-identified usage patterns to improve the Platform's features, scoring methodology, and user experience.
Communications. Sending you product updates, new feature announcements, and educational content related to caregiving. You can opt out of non-transactional communications at any time (see Section 7).
Legal Compliance. Complying with applicable laws, responding to legal process, and protecting our rights.
3. How We Share Your Information
3.1 Within Your Care Circle
The core function of Kintently is shared visibility. When you create or join a Care Circle, the following information is visible to other members of that Circle: InPlace Scores and trends, dimension scores and status bands, timeline entries and notes, assessment history, and automated insights generated for that Care Circle. You control who is in your Care Circle through the invitation process.
3.2 With Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate the Platform, including:
- Infrastructure and hosting providers that store and process your data.
- Payment processors (currently Stripe) that handle subscription billing.
- Analytics providers (currently Google Analytics) that help us understand Platform usage through aggregated, de-identified data.
- Automated processing providers that power the Platform's insight and recommendation features. Assessment data and scores are sent to these providers for processing. These providers process data according to our instructions and are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
3.3 For Legal Reasons
We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
3.4 In a Business Transfer
If Kintently is acquired, merged, or sells substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and any choices you may have regarding your information.
3.5 What We Do Not Do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with advertisers. We do not use your assessment data or InPlace Scores for targeted advertising.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Platform.
If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required by law to retain it or where retention is necessary to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or comply with legal obligations.
Aggregated, de-identified data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely for research and Platform improvement purposes.
5. Data Security
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest, row-level security controls that restrict data access to authorized users, secure authentication protocols, and regular security reviews.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
The Platform is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@kintently.com.

9. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through the Platform.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
11. The InPlace Score Is Not Medical Advice
The InPlace Score and all related features, including automated insights, care recommendations, next-step suggestions, and emergency action guidance, are informational tools based on self-reported family observations. They are not medical assessments, diagnoses, or clinical recommendations. If you have concerns about the health of the person you are caring for, consult their healthcare provider.
